The Heart & Vascular Institute at Northern Nevada Medical Center was established to provide comprehensive cardiac and neurologic services to residents of Sparks, Reno, Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas of Nevada and California.

The Heart & Vascular Institute at Northern Nevada Medical Center fuses advanced technology with highly trained medical professionals who work to do everything they can to help maintain your heart, blood vessel and brain health, from evaluation through treatment.

A healthcare team that includes representatives from a wide range of specialties assesses, diagnoses and evaluates every patient according to his or her individual needs.

On the cardiovascular side, we perform noninvasive, invasive and interventional procedures including permanent pacemaker/ICD placement. Neurologists at NNMC are trained to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.

Everyone should know the signs of possible heart attack so they can take appropriate action. Two important links in the chain of survival, a sequence of emergency response actions, are calling 911 immediately and giving CPR until medical help arrives. If every community in the United States increased the survival rate from cardiac arrest from 5 to 20 percent, the American Heart Association estimates that at least 50,000 Americans could be saved each year.
