Meet the CEO

Mark W. Crawford is CEO/Managing Director of Northern Nevada Medical Center, and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization and ensuring its continued success in serving our community's healthcare needs.

Mark's 22 years in the healthcare industry, as well as extensive education and training, have provided him with tremendous experience in many areas. He holds an Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Conn., and an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in Montgomery, Ala.  Mark proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. 

In addition to his dedication and commitment to Northern Nevada Medical Center, Mark is serves the community through his involvement in several organizations. He is a board member of the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA), the American Heart Association and the Sparks Chamber of Commerce.  He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Western Industrial Nevada (WIN), and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN).

Mark and his wife, Kathy, have four children: Lauryn, Matthew, Paige and Ryan. He and his family enjoy living in the Truckee Meadows. "This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever lived," he says. Mark also has a passion for flying and loves to spend time aloft enjoying the scenery of the northwestern United States.
