You can take an active role in your return to productive living by taking an online assessment to see if you could benefit from therapeutic intervention.

The Joint Care Center also offers free 15 minute appointments to assess your problems and provide recommendations for treatment. You also can gain a greater understanding of your joint pain by attending a free monthly joint seminar, the second Monday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.

The Chest Pain Center at NNMC: When Minutes Matter

1299268048Accred CPC The Chest Pain Center at Northern Nevada Medical Center (NNMC) has been accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC) for its ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

As an Accredited Chest Pain Center, NNMC has demonstrated that it has effective processes in place to:

  • Heart Attack Survival Guide Reduce the time between the onset of symptoms and diagnosis and treatment

  • Treat patients more quickly during the critical window of time when the integrity of the heart muscle can be preserved
  • Monitor patients when it is not certain if they are having a heart attack to ensure that they are not sent home too quickly or needlessly admitted to the hospital

PVD affects at least 5 million American adults, and usually occurs when leg arteries have become narrowed or clogged and are restricting proper blood flow. Arteries typically narrow because of a buildup of fatty deposits.
